January 3, 2021 at 8:18 am Never seen that particular one.. As to fuel primers, over a period of 20-30 yrs, I have yet to find one more practical than a outboard “squeeze bulb” when you you at the long term and then all that goes on in an engine room.

May 15, 2017 at 3:12 pm Just installed 2 new aftercoolers and at the same time took the opportunity to install fresh water flushing. I do NOT have a water lift muffler and I have a good exhaust design which allowed me to design and install an engine OFF flush system. I had a stainless bung welded into the stainless water pipe between the sea water pump and gear/fuel cooler.Ā  This is the initial install and I will plumb to a manifold so I hook the hose up once and can s…

May 5, 2019 at 4:46 pm So I wanted to give everyone some initial feedback on Mobilfluid 424 use in marine transmissions. When I bought by boat a few years back I wasnā€™t completely convinced my electronic trolling valves were working 100% as good as they should or could. When in trolling mode adjustment of trolling speed was inconsistent and difficult at best. One of the things suggested was a switch to Mobilfluid 424 which is advertised as a tractor and hydraulic tran…

November 22, 2018 at 3:42 pm So I started to get a water in fuel alarm on my port engine but not the startboard. 1. Immediately checked fuel samples of both sides by draining primary racor into a clean glass jar – no water noted either side. 2. Changed primary racor filter with new 10 mic filters 3. Changed on engine FF5488 with new filters and dumped contents into glass jar – no water noted either side. At this point suspect either bad sensor or harness wiring…

At the top of the page in the “Find” search bar use the following as your search term: Surface-Mount Rubber Seals You’ll have a bunch of options to weed through. Double check your measurements, may be some parallax going on but looks closer to something like 1-3/8″ by 5/8″ …. probably not super critical but not sure how tight a fit you’re dealing with.. https://www.mcmaster.co…

May 1, 2018 at 6:43 pm Phil, I personally have not, but I am sure I have 2 techs that have.. I’ll look into this.. I would guess that this would be the equivalent of the “edge filter” that are used in most all of the regular injectors found in the mechanical B & C engines, only engineered differently for these injectors.. February 13, 2018 at 12:56 pm This sounds suspect but I figured Iā€™d throw it out there for comment…. The theory is to plumb a cross connect fuel line between last chance filters on a dual engine setup so that an operating engine can supply pressurized fuel to prime the other engine. Simple idea? December 21, 2017 at 6:42 pm My ZF285A transmission has a shift delay programmable through the Glendinning EEC3 control with a range of 0-2.5 seconds with a default of 1.0seconds. May 30, 2017 at 10:45 am In the below picture, is the port which I would use for oil pressure monitoring during trolling valve operation circled in red correct? I assume I am looking to monitor the oil pressure to the clutch plates? And if this is the correct port is it a 1/8 NPT or some other thread?
