I have a small oil leak/drip from a plug at the bottom of my QSC8.3-540 oil cooler. Just a couple dozen drops over a 10 hour period but annoying.

Can I just remove the plug and reinstall with some rector seal or is there springs etc behind the plug?

How much oil behind the plug?

    You posted a good picture………………..Follow Rob’s advice..

Remove the plug, clean all, use Rectorseal #5 (needs to be in your tool box) as a sealant and re-install..

Maybe, you could just try tightening it 1st?

    Philip,

I don’t have your serial number but I pulled a QSC oil cooler parts diagram (see attached). Nothing more than a straight forward 1/2″ pipe plug, and yes on the RS pipe dope
