This sounds suspect but I figured I’d throw it out there for comment….
The theory is to plumb a cross connect fuel line between last chance filters on a dual engine setup so that an operating engine can supply pressurized fuel to prime the other engine.
Simple idea? Maybe, but I wonder if it’s introducing a liability that’s not needed. I know there are primer bulb setups that do a safe and reliable job. And if you know what your doing, at least on the Cummins, removing a plug filter head plug and cycling the ignition key brings fuel right through my QSC.
Bring on the comments…..is this a common practice? Maybe something in commercial application? Or just stupid?
