March 14, 2023 at 10:07 am Greetings,   I tried to submit this message earlier, but didn’t see the message posted. My port engine turns over much slower than my starboard engine during starting (engine battery was recently replaced). When cold starting, I have to connect the house battery in parallel. When starting a second time, I don’t have any issues and can start with just the engine battery and speed is higher.Ā  the terminals look good from battery t…

If you had a 2/0 cable long enough, run it in parallel, directĀ  from BAT POS to the POS stater lug for a test.. Bypass the big switch, etc. But check all the NEG’s first.. All clean and shiny/tight and common lithium grease on all points of contact.

March 20, 2023 at 10:11 am I was doing the after cooler service on this Diamond 330 and the core came right out. It was clearly greased last time. The bolts were another story. Two snapped after hours of effort. Trying to use an extractor cracked the housing on the one of top of the cooler cap bolts (Lower left in photo). What looks like pits/chips on the cap surface in the photo is just chips in the paint. It is in suprisingly good shape. I saw in a previous thread Tony …

March 19, 2023 at 9:48 am I operate a 44′ Armstrong catamaran that is powered by 2 Cummins QSB 5.9s. March 11, 2023 at 12:41 pm Leave the fuel fill caps off when introducing air pressure into the fuel lines. You should remove the fuel pickups and check the tubes for clogged screens, etc.Ā  Any screens on fuel pickups are bad, you want the pickups to act like vacuums and allow the filtration system to get the junk and filter it out.Ā  Therefore, pickups should be large diameter and very close to the bottom of the tank.
