I was doing the after cooler service on this Diamond 330 and the core came right out. It was clearly greased last time. The bolts were another story. Two snapped after hours of effort. Trying to use an extractor cracked the housing on the one of top of the cooler cap bolts (Lower left in photo). What looks like pits/chips on the cap surface in the photo is just chips in the paint. It is in suprisingly good shape. I saw in a previous thread Tony said “Do not weld the housing”. My local fab shop says they can weld this. Do you think it is advisable to attempt a repair? The crack does not extend to the interior of the housing it is two cracks on the thread extrusions. I had a bolt break on the bottom also. It was more corroded as the O ring was not seated correctly but well within tollerances to resurface. I had one bolt break on this one also as shown but the fab shop was able to remove it no damage.Ā
