February 4, 2020 at 4:43 am I know this is a Cummins forum but was wondering if seaboard sells high coolant temp alarm and low oil pressure alarms that would work on my 3208? Thank you, Tom.

February 6, 2020 at 1:49 am Its been a while.. But the coolant alarm should go to the low oil pressure switch( round cylinder about a inch long). It should be at the rear of the V on the head.

January 18, 2020 at 9:25 pm I started the motors after having sat about 6 weeks and I noticed a small splattering of what I think was diesel fuel rainbow drops in the water from starboard exhaust. They cleared up/stopped after about 3 minutes at dock idle. Next day I started the motor again and no rainbow splatters. No unusual smoke at cruise and both motors seems to be running fine. I did notice this past summer that only after several hours or trolling Iā€™d get a bit m…

December 2, 2019 at 7:47 pm I believe we need better pictures to give you a real answer. It can definitely be cut up and refabricated but you need to have the room to accommodate the mixing on the downward side. It may or may not be cost effective compared to building a new one. All depends.

Mechanical compression test shows cyl 1&2 equal and cyl 3&4 equal . However 1&2 are 50 lbs less than 3&4. Which test do you trust ? April 9, 2019 at 6:02 pm I just installed your exhaust temp guage on the yanmar 4jh3-hte. I’m reading near 80 degrees celsius on the coolant temp and 350 degrees Fahrenheit when warmed up. engine runs fine but some very light white smoke at idle and throughout rpm. also tiny bit of sheen in the water. Is 350 too low? If so how do i increase exhaust temp? note: could it be location of probe? see picture.

March 26, 2019 at 6:06 am 20 PSI is fine………Pits inside the cooler housing do not matter–Only the flat sealing surface ( on each end) after block sanding…….. Our coolers come pre-greased and are good for 2 years or so before you need to service it again if in seawater.. If you fresh water flush diligently when at the dock, you can easily double the service time interval. Tony
