March 17, 2020 at 6:27 pm Guys, I have a 2006 Sea Ray 48 with QSC 540’s installed. The water heater for the boat is not connected to the engine to heat it up without using the electrical to heat the tank. The stock heater has the provision but Sea Ray I guess chose not to hook it up. Is there a place on the QSC to tap for hot water to travel through the water heater coil and then back out? Thanks for the feedback.

May 4, 2023 at 6:13 pm I have a small amount of oil coming out of the aluminum turbo housing that the air filter attaches to. • Raw Water pump removal-Cummins 6cta8.3, 480

June 1, 2023 at 1:39 pm I have twin Cummins 6cta8.3, 480 in a 2003 Sea Ray 390 MY unfortunately with the Sherwood pumps. All good so far, but I am going to be replacing the impellers soon. The Port pump is very difficult to access and I’ve read on this forum to simply remove the entire pump assy with gear from the engine. Do I need to be concerned about oil running out? Any advice or tricks to removing and re-installing? Do the gears line up easily?

June 5, 2023 at 5:25 am I find it very hard to believe removing & re-installing the pump could possibly be easier than just swapping the impeller.Ā  The Sherwood impeller has threads built into it to allow you to use a common hardware store bolt to facilitate removal, no custom tool needed.
