      April 14, 2024 at 6:50 am I think I’m missing something. For years I was able to search the forum. over the last several months the search function in the forum only returns parts selections. Ive tried logging in on different computers and with the following search engines, Safari, Chrome and google. No luck.       April 14, 2024 at 6:21 am If it was me, I’d look around for a filler neck with a flange built in to it, and then figureĀ  out a way to adapt it to your oldĀ  rusty iron tank..   Yes, you’d need to clever and totally hands-onĀ  to do it..

When I shift into reverse it runs fine , but when I rev up any in reverse it stalls out . ļæ¼ļæ¼starts back up and runs fine . The linkage is properly adjusted . Mechanical shift zf280a gear No neutral safety switch ļæ¼ nothing in the running gear ļæ¼possibly in the throttle pot connection?

      April 12, 2024 at 2:44 pm just started recently engine has about 4k hours. I will take some pics when I go to the boat tomorrow. the throttle pot is not in the best location and has gotten slightly rusty over the years, Ā cleaning the connections is on the priority list.

The first one lasted a couple of weeks in May 2023. the second one failed this month (11 months later). The important information, in my case, was the pin locations for the primary and secondary connector. You were 100% correct, when you said it was wired incorrectly.       April 8, 2024 at 2:40 pm The Walker Air Sep is intended to separate the oily vapour ejected from the crankcase from the actual air flow so the oil can be discarded without fouling the air filters s0Ā  quickly.   Seaboards’Ā  crankcase venting is another way to do the same thing.Ā  Ā  Look it up.

Starboard is worst than the port. Port being more like a sprinkle and the starboard more like a constant trickle of water. Could this be a good indicator for a damaged core?

He stated he let it run for about 5 seconds, noticed it sounded rough, and then again for about 10 seconds.       April 4, 2024 at 10:12 am Took the heat exchanger off my 6bta to get cleaned. Going to reinstall it with all new hoses and found the pipe leading to the thermostat to be extremely rusted. Anything I should do for this issue? Or just flush remaining coolant as much as possible and fill with new?

      April 8, 2024 at 11:57 am If you can, take a sample of the so called coolant and send it to an oil testingĀ  lab.Ā  Yes, they do coolant testing also. Heavy rust like that says you have had seawater enter the engine which could do interior damage. Pressure test the system for leaks. Remove as much rust as you can.Ā  Ā  Then use a product such as Cummins cleaner,Ā  RESTORE, following directions for treatment AND removal/flushing.Ā  Ā Be prepared to do it a couple of times.Ā  Ā Ā  R…

      April 5, 2024 at 8:36 am 100% freshwater hose blasting away through the T adaptor with engine seacock “closed in the video” and engine running. About halfway through the season I flushed with seacock “open”. It was a bugger reaching down and closing the 2″ seacock and then re-opening. I also think the zincs look normal.       April 3, 2024 at 10:10 am After installing the SBM DD filter system, I want to plum it so I can bypass these filters in the event of an at sea clogged filter. I have a separate filter system using FS1218 and a Morco pump. I can easily plum this system to feed both my engines in case of a failure. This pump is capable of 2.5 GPM and up to 20PSI.
