Chronic high pressure fuel pump bearing failure.

Has anyone experience unusually high failure rate of front bearing on HP fuel pump part# 3973228? I’m about to put on a 3rd one in the span of a year. The first one lasted a couple of weeks in May 2023. the second one failed this month (11 months later). This last failure caused the gear to drive into time cover case causing serious damage with over a cupful of metal shavings. Going to have to drop oil pan and replace timing cover case. Any help would be appreciated or info on a Cummins tech line I can reach
