Tony,
I believe it was about 7 turns.Ā I don’t recall if the turns lock to lock were the same. The helm pump is about 10 years old.Ā Never had a problem. I have an unbalanced cylinder for the sterndrive if that matters. If the difference in lock to lock is not an issue then I’ll keep fishing.
Thanks again for your assistance.

Thanks Clark,
The hose was about 12 years old. No bend at the location.Ā I just changed it out.

Sorry Tony I meant to say the heat exchanger.Ā Aftercooler is fine as I service it yearly using your protocol.Ā The heat exchanger was last serviced 3 years ago.Ā Boat is trailered and the system is flushed with fresh water after every outing.Ā The heat exchanger was leaking a small stream when I noticed it.Ā Engine never did overheat and at the wash rack water was coming out the exhaust.Ā When I removed the end plate the tan round gasket was shot.Ā Ā

Rob,
I was at light load at 1200 rpms just leaving the harbor. No coolant lost or paint discoloration.
I’ll check the exhaust hose. Pyrometer was reading 300.Thanks

Rob,
That’s the right one. I finally got it with a heat gun. I called Seaboard and Brandon said that is a 7/8″ fitting from the factory.

Tony,
I understand what your saying as to being two separate things. As for my DC distribution would a simple 1-2-both-off switch work?
I was thinking about adding the DVMās just to monitor.Ron

Would one be able to use a 1-2-both-off switch and a couple of DVM’s to monitor batteries?

Bill,
Am I reading the diagram you linked correct with there being three 70-100 amp switch/circuit breakers with 2 being N.C. (normally closed) and 1 being N.O. (normally open)?
Any preferred brand or manufacturer?
Thanks again.

My valve cover does not have the recess so I will use the o-rings.
Thanks again.
