I have hydraulic steering setup to a Konrad sterndrive.  Last month I had a hose crack while out in the ocean and had to manually manipulate the sterndrive to get home. I got the hoses replaced and proceeded to bleed the system.  I have a Seafirst Variable helm pump and am not getting even turns lock to lock.  Turning to port I get 7 turns to lock and turning to starboard I get 4 turns lock to lock.  Is there something I am missing or can anyone help.

    Thanks

    Ron

    Tony,

I believe it was about 7 turns.  I don’t recall if the turns lock to lock were the same. The helm pump is about 10 years old.  Never had a problem. I have an unbalanced cylinder for the sterndrive if that matters. If the difference in lock to lock is not an issue then I’ll keep fishing.

    Thanks again for your assistance.

What was it before you lost all the fluid/broke a line?
