    • 6CTA – Turbo Dripping Oil

This topic has 2 replies, has 2 voices, and was last updated byGerasimos 9 hours ago

April 26, 2024 at 7:08 am First time I noticed this was after putting the boat back in the water yesterday and going for a long ride to test temps out after servicing the Aftercoolers per Tony’s method. Ā  There was oil ontop of the transmission which seems to be coming from the Turbo. The oil is clean and looks new so it must be from my recent oil change which is why I believe this is a new thing that happened yesterday.Ā  Ā  Ā

April 28, 2024 at 12:49 pm Tony, I think most of this was caused by the previous owner who had a corroded to hell aftercooler core that failed a pressure test. Two years ago I purchased a new SMX one and replaced and since then the cores have passed the tests and have been serviced (about two weeks ago). I believe that was the cause of the condition of this turbo, but if not what else should I be looking at? Is there some way to “clean” up this turbo to preven…

    • Oil Leak at turbo after installing CCV system

April 16, 2024 at 2:16 pm Hello, I just recently purchased an Enviro Crankcase ventilation kit. After installing my Cummins 370 developed an oil leak (slobber) at the opposite side of the turbo from the air cleaner. The air cleaner itself also shows of some oil saturation. Is this a normal effect from the ccv? Everything else seems perfect, lots less smoke after hours of trolling also. Thanks for any advice.Ā
