April 23, 2024 at 10:34 am I’m trying to install a new SMX 27 impeller in my SMX 1730 pump. First time replacing it. Impeller won’t go in all theĀ  way. I think it’s getting stuck on something orĀ  ot fitting on spline. Tried two different new ones. Any advice or experiences.Ā  Thanks

April 18, 2024 at 2:09 pm I drained 7 .5 gallons out to fix small leak at base of thermostat and therefore replaced thermostat, filled back 5.5 gallons. do I need to bleed air out of the system or just start it up then check and add? should I fill overflow before running engine? thanks Paul

April 18, 2024 at 4:26 pm I had to drain 6 gallons to re seal the large banjo fitting on the turbo. Anyway, got the last gallon in by running the engine, letting it cool and topping the tank off. Took a couple times

April 18, 2024 at 7:36 am I am replacing my aftercooler for the second time in 7 years. I have done a fresh water maintenance flush through the sea strainers 2 times each season which is usually 100 hours per season. Ā Why would my aftercooler be crashing in such short time. Is there a better maintenance program or product I should be using?

March 17, 2024 at 3:26 pm I had the boat out 0f the water for maintenance for about 2 months. Installed new raw water pumps, hoses, seacocks, strainers. (New bilge). March 2, 2024 at 6:24 pm I have read the manual section and believe I have a ā€œcleanableā€ air filter but need to verify when I am back on the boat. The filter is currently off as part of the cooler service and it looks pretty clean. The manual says clean annually, but in a boat that doesn’t sound realistic. Couple questions: 1. How often are you cleaning yours? 2. Is there an old Forum string or Tony Tip on doing this?Ā  QSB 6.7, 6 years, 1K hours, salt water.
