For fun measure the depth of what you’re putting it into but I bet a rubber vane is getting hung up on one of the two opening of the pump.

If really stuck, maybe something like a shoehorn device to free it up.

Nothing magical….just need to unstuck it. Ā Press harder?

Any reason why? Ā Not changing them often enough.

I’d fill the overflow halfway and then run them, let them cool, check, fill, do over, etc.

    It’s a process.

    What does “crashing” mean exactly?

Probably too expense, i.e. there are cheaper alternatives but I have Walker Airseps and just buy their blue cleaning kit. Ā Lasts a few cleanings/oilings.

You just spray them with degreaser, let sit a bit, hose them off, let dry and re-oil.

It’s more like you clean them, no need to replace…is what I think that “do not replace” statement means.

If memory serves, they say clean every 300 hours but hold them up to the sun, if you can see through easily, likely ok but I do every year regardless which is a lot less than 300 hours.

    Chances?

I’m in the 0% chance of you destroyed it because you caught it in time.

Figure some alarms would have sounded if you got close to causing damage.

Not sure where you guys are but engines will just sweat.

Temp, high humidity, etc. and they just get wet sitting in the dock.

There’s a trillion things you can use.

WD, Corrosion X, Boeshield, CRC, Corrosion X Aviation, ACF 50, Blaster, etc.

    Pick one.

If no one else chimes in maybe there is a bleed but I’d just run it a bit and let the system work the coolant through engine and then after it cools down, just top up. Ā

You’ll find the extra gallon that way I’d bet.

    Good luck

I have Walker Airseps (Looks like similar material to yours). Ā  I think that’s what yours are too probably.

I think mine says every 300 hours but will do 100-150 as it’s easy enough and the catharsis from watching the black wash away and it be blue again is rather nice.

Walker has red and blue filter cleaning kits. Ā You’d get Walker’s red one though I am sure there’s a cheaper way to clean and oil but the kits are only $50 as it is.

    Good luck,

    Sucks…..

Well maybe you can have the ends of that tube closed off though I’m sure it’s ok if pressure tests ok.

    Good luck

    No tips or tricks…super easy.

You’ll have to take this off to slide out the front. Ā Might as well change the hose out at the same time.

One of the wires on the alternator will also be hot so take necessary precautions when removing the alt.

    Overall pretty easy.

The coolant expansion tanks being empty could be problematic.

I’d say if they are at operating temp when running /under load you’re good.

Going to keep track of this to see if that’s not sound logic.

    Good luck,

No idea what that is but if it’s the cutlass bearing like Rob mentioned, get the right size tool from “Strut Pro” and be done with it. Ā Pretty easy to use. Ā Several vides on how it works.

    Good luck,

    J
