I am replacing my aftercooler for the second time in 7 years. I have done a fresh water maintenance flush through the sea strainers 2 times each season which is usually 100 hours per season.  Why would my aftercooler be crashing in such short time. Is there a better maintenance program or product I should be using?

    What does “crashing” mean exactly?

Replaced twice in 7 years?  Your choice or someone’s recommendation?  What reasons were given?  Tell us a little more about details of your situation.

FWF is ideally done after every use to keep the salt water from sitting in the engine for the 8600+ hours that it is not in use.  Also keep a serious eye on the zincs through the season.  There are 2 on the Aftercooler and you can see what kind of sacrifice they are giving………

Also proper Aftercooler servicing and proper interval of service is highly recommended.

There is plenty to read in the Tony’s Tips section about a proper FWF process and AC service.
