June 26, 2023 at 8:54 am Just had my turbos rebuilt and had to replace the oil feed line, not sure what kind of stuff Cummins put on the flared fitting into the adapter but it was never coming off so I had to cut them.Ā  I understand I need to manually put oil in the turbo before firing up.Ā  Two questions, how much oil should I put in there, and do I need to prime the oil feed line before firing up?Ā  I realize oil pressure builds quickly but just want to be sure I don…

June 25, 2023 at 2:11 pm Yes you can suck it out that way, but even easier may beĀ  to putĀ  the oil pressure line that exits the pump into an appropriate container and start the engine.. The oil will all pump out until the pump sucks the transmissiom sump dry or sucks air and looses prime.. No ISSUE doing this ..

December 30, 2021 at 7:44 am Your problem has nothing to do with the number of banks.Ā  There have been countless arrangements of battery banks for boats, all have their pros & cons.Ā  Two banks where one bank starts the engines and the other handles the house loads and where there are provisions for combining both banks and isolating a bad bank for emergencies is the best compromise for most installs IMO.Ā  Leave that alone and remove your starter & get it tested.
