Hi I am trying to replace my starter. I got the 2 bolts off but there has to be a 3rd as it won’t budge. Any tips on how to locate and remove the 3rd bolt? Thx-Lew 6BTA330m

The odds are excellent it is approx.Ā  Ā  120 degrees from the other two.Ā  Ā  Feel around at the starter backside.Ā  Ā Use a small flashlight and mirrorĀ  of use aĀ  bore scope camera with a flex. wand so you can move it around a bit..

I have one of the mush older LARGE starters with 4 bolts an I found theĀ  Ā  one hiding by feeling around.

Pretty sure it will be next to the block.

A long extension will be needed.
