May 22, 2022 at 10:55 am Thanks to Justin and the crew for an easy upgrade.Ā  I had the caps shipped directly to Seaboard and they handled the rest.Ā  Then as I flushed the engines, I did a little testing to see how much better I was treating the engines. I grabbed a little saltwater aquarium water tester to see how much better the water was with the kits and leaving the raw water seacock open.Ā  I took a scoop of water off the back of the boat and it measured about 28ppt,…

April 25, 2019 at 5:43 am 480 CE engines on a Sea Ray 420 Sundancer. When you toggle the start switch to the first click, where it normally says “wait to start” for a few seconds, this time I also got the “stop engine” light illuminated, and I heard an odd ratcheting sound. It sounds as if the sound is coming from a pump next to the fuel manifold. I was able to see the “stop engine” flash a code of 2-3-7. Unfortunately the videos …

April 26, 2019 at 1:00 pm Thanks Rob! Still some things that need to be done to make it truly ā€œSeaboard Styleā€ but getting better everyday. I am so appreciative of the help from this board, you, Corey, Tony and countless others have really saved me a lot of heartache and got me moving in the right direction to correct some manufacturers laziness Still some more to do, but itā€™s a labor of love. She has given me so many great memories on the water! Matt

We have a 2005 SeaRay 420 Sundancer, and are the second owners of the boat. I know it was overloaded before we owned it, and I ran it overloaded for a year or so prior to finding Tony’s information here. I attached an estimate. I have been so paranoid about this issue that I have been reluctant to use the boat, especially since I lea…

March 23, 2017 at 4:36 pm I have a pair of 480CE (s/n 46484363 and 46484197)Ā Ā in a SeaRay 420 Sundancer, and I noticed pieces of hard plastic or rubber under the belt guard of the engines.Ā  I had the belts replaced, and they were fine(not the reason for pieces).Ā  My mechanic and I are at a loss as he does not see where they are coming from as well.Ā  Any advice?

March 30, 2017 at 5:31 am Clark, Yes Sir the oil pads were there, that’s actually how I noticed the pieces.Ā  Both engines started shedding the pieces within a couple hours of each other.   Thanks, Matt
