October 8, 2023 at 4:33 pm Try this———-aft zinc no more than 3″ in front the the strut–Next zinc,Ā  1/2″ max in front of the aft zinc.. Seat both with a hammer a few times and double, triple, quadruple, tighten as reseat with a hammerĀ  as they are tightened.

May 17, 2023 at 2:40 pm A good friend of mine is looking at a 2008 36 Tiara with QSB 5.9 425 HO Cummins. Are those engines reliable, and what should he be looking at with 850 hours. Does anyone out there have these engines and what do you have to say about them? Good or bad. Thx RjGeczi rjg333@comcast.net 757-472-9944

May 19, 2023 at 1:52 am When buying a boat with a used engine, it is important to consider several factors:Maintenance history: Find out how regularly and well the engine has been maintained. Maintenance records and regular inspections may indicate that the engine has been properly maintained and cared for.Use and operating conditions: Find out how and where the vessel with this engine has been used. March 27, 2023 at 6:37 pm I have a 2007 Tiara with ZF 311 A Electronic controlled transmissions with Glendenning electronic shifters. Ā I was out today at idle speed and had the shifter in sync mode and controlling the engines with 1 lever. I had to slow down so I pulled the right lever to neutral which will usually putā€™s both transmissions in neutral but it kept the port trans engaged and I cannot get the port trans out of gear now? I shifted to back up controls and the …

March 31, 2023 at 8:14 pm Tony So the Gear is in fact locked up. This gear is not that easy to get out. Limited room and must come out through the floor drop down hatch. 42 Tiara Open and the floor does not lift. Gear weighs about 450 lb. So what do you think is a fair price to R&R the transmission and rebuild it. I am looking for a standard rebuld and 2 guys 2 days to get it out and 2 days to get it back in. Replacing Coupling assembly and flywheel and new trans coo…

August 8, 2019 at 5:39 pm I have a 2007 Tiara 42 Open with a pair of 670 HP QSM11’s and have an intermittent issue that when I turn the key on my port engine nothing at all happens. No click, no attempt to start, just like the batteries are turned off. So I turn the key on and off a few times and it starts up no problem. It seems to do it after running for a while. It always starts but it is most nerve racking as I fear it may not start at some point. The starboard…
