October 27, 2019 at 5:41 am Looking to change the oil in my ZF 220 A . The boat is was current hauled for the winter would you recommend doing the change while the boat is in the water? Also I plan on replacing the oil coolers in the spring . Should I wait to do it all at once ? What oil do you recommend and is it 4 quarts ? To confirm the filter is the hex on the port side correct ? Can these be cleaned or is a full replacement needed ?

October 27, 2019 at 6:02 am I would do it all at once when the boat is in the water but doesn’t really matter IMO. you may have to tweak the level after you run it. Yes the screen is cleanable. May 24, 2019 at 5:42 am Sounds like your air grid heater has sucked your batteries down.. Disconnect it ( lots on the site about it) and get your batteries on charge ASAP. Tony

April 17, 2019 at 8:36 am All Recently bought the maintenance kit and serviced one of my AC as per Tonyā€™s instructions . My question is my raw water end cap seems to have a hair line gap and isnā€™t as flush against the AC block as the other side is . After completing the service I pressure tested the cooler with a garden hose set up letting it sit for about a 1/2 with no leaks . Will this be an issue down the road and would you suggest I pull the cap and use the small…

September 24, 2018 at 2:45 am I agree with Phil that the best approach at these nuisance leaks is to clean everything spic & span and then WWM. What do you have for CCV? How may quarts of oil are you running in the pan? Does it have an Airsep with a drain back to the pan that could be weeping? Have you checked the combo block? They usually have fuel leaks, not oil, but worth a look. General engine pics from multiple angles and perspectives are always helpful.
