February 27, 2018 at 2:09 pm Is it possible to use the following line for an oil drain line?? The blue oil line that drains oil back from a Walker airsep. It is supposed to be capped off when an evironvent CCV kits is install. Does it drain back to oil pan or crank case? I plan on installing the Envirovent kit. What I am thinking is instead of capping this line. Removing the check valve and adding a connection and running line to a built in pump for oil changes. Rea…

May 2, 2020 at 7:05 pm Your picture showing nothing as to where it is attached to the oil pan. And, it shows nothing as to where the Walker 1-way valve drain is. Both of these are critical to your question Am I missing something?

January 22, 2018 at 8:59 am New to site and My first pair of Cummins. I tried a search with no luck so I apologize if this has already been discussed. I am purchasing a 1996 Bayliner 3388. Engines are 150 HP turbo 4BT’s. I am looking to safely increase the power of this without losing Reliablity. I know there is a 250 version of these and some folks are getting 300-400 hp out of the 4bts in trucks. So my question is. Is it as simple as to turn up the fuel to …

December 10, 2018 at 7:55 pm I have an alarm going off with Good temp and oil pressure. I disconnected the oil pressure switch and alarm does not sound. I have ordered the SMX switch from SBMAR. My question is how should I install the SMX Switch. It has a single pole. The switch I am removing has a clip and two wires going to it. I believe it is cummins part 3056344. Do I attach both wires to the single SMX pole or does one need to go to a short ground? Thx Cpt.Blair

December 10, 2018 at 8:49 pm No, do not attach both wires together. A single terminal switch is engine ground, aka case ground, with the one wire being a signal wire. A twin terminal switch is a floating ground which is a signal wire and a ground wire. Are you sure what you are replacing is a “switch” and not a “sending unit” ? Big difference. The Cummins OEM instrument cluster setup does not include a switch, just the sending unit and it is the…
