Engine oil

October 21, 2018 at 4:33 pm I have QSB6.7 550 hours. They have had Shell Rotella T4 15-40 oil since new i was thinking about changing to rotella T6 full synthetic 5w-40 are the T5 which is synthetic blend 15-40. Any body have any thoughts about using these oils. Thanks

September 18, 2018 at 4:01 pm I have 2013 QSB 6.7 We left on 9-8-18 for a 600 mile trip about 2 hours in trip I kept getting a intermittent exhaust temp sensor alarm. Took me awhile to tell it was on the port engine. Put wife at helm went to engine room found the wires from the sensor. it was plugged in to a connector the wire on both ends of the connector were bend in a 90 degree bend and were zip tied real tight. I cut the zip ties ran awhile like that. No alarm the rest …

May 7, 2018 at 3:47 pm ]Just took delivery of a boat with twin QSB 6.7 WITH ZEUS PODS ran yesterday no issues today high exhaust temp would come on and off on vessel view. at around 1800RPM water finally got calm was able to run 2900 RPM no more alarms pulled back to come in marine alarm on then off I felt of the big white exhaust tube it felt cool. getting fuel left engine run the alarm went off about three times I cant even pin it to which engine time I get hand to …
