      June 11, 2021 at 9:13 pm Tony; Just purchased 2 used twin disc 502’s 2:1 trannies. After scrapping off the name plate found that this one was a LH 502. Will this have any effect on my 5.9 standard cummins diesels. The other tranny has no name pate so i dont know if it is a LH OR RH unit. Does it even matter. Can I have the other unit spin tested to find out if it is LH OR RH.

      June 12, 2021 at 12:36 pm Not cost effectively, and NO…Understand these gears have been obsolete for over 40 years now……………. What is the gear ratio? I may have what you need in my warehouse.. Drop me a note off line.

      October 12, 2018 at 3:31 pm Hi Tony I have a 31 Bertram with 2 180hp cummins diesels that are old but run just great with no major issues. My top end speed is about 16 knots at max rpm on both engines. I am running 20 x 20 props behind twin disc 2:1 running gear. I heard from the local gallery change the props, change the gear, change the injector pump etc. I would like to keep these engines until they die. What can I do to increase the hp to at least 210hp and get more s…

      October 15, 2018 at 12:31 pm Excellent response. Would changing from these twin disc to 1.56 ZF 63a’s be almost seamless as far as size or would I need more modifications. Thanks. Capt. Mike
