June 11, 2020 at 3:16 pm I hadn’t posted this earlier as I wanted to try some troubleshooting first. I installed a new Quantum DD aand immediately has the WIF Alarm sound. This unit is replacing a Racor 1000MA with WIF and never alarmed in my 6 previous seasons of ownership. Engine: 2005 QSC – 500 Diesel View: version 1 I first disconnect the WIF harness from the FS19596 and the alarm horn stopped, but the Diesel View settings still showed “428 Sensor…
9 RepliesJune 24, 2020 at 8:28 am Tony, Here are the pictures that I took of the resistor loop. To neaten things up, I moved the resistor loop from being plugged directly into the fuel filter and plugged it into the other end of the Double Double harness where it connects to the main QSC WIF plug behind the aftercooler. Still, no more alarm. Thank you team Seaboard!

June 22, 2017 at 8:11 pm After winter layup I’ve just fired up my engine (QSC 8.3) for the first time. No issues prior to layup in November. Some background history: During layup I replaced the “always on” power stud and have to admit I that I did not disconnect the positive lead from my start battery when I started this project when I first removed the power lead to the power stud. Here was the thread from that project: QSC Always On Power Studs No…

QSC Always On Power Studs

April 25, 2017 at 6:55 pm Feeling foolish with the predicament that I find myself in. Bought my boat 3 years ago. Raw water pump was leaking at survey and seller replaced with new. I went to do an impeller service this spring and found the leads going to the always on power studs/terminals for the ECM short and tight and in the way of being able to remove the raw water impeller. Removing the wires from the studs was going smooth thenĀ the nut on the + stud tightened up. I…
16 RepliesMay 5, 2017 at 4:11 am Good job “parts sourcing” and it literally cost you 1% of what Cummins NE wanted to sell you, and a whole lot less work too. Ā Proves that this is the wrong hobby to be in if you are not a DIY with a working brain..
