September 1, 2021 at 6:29 am My Cummins 480CE engines are equipped with ZF Cruise Commander throttle and transmission controller. I sometimes get error codes 44 and 45. Anyone know what these codes mean.

September 2, 2021 at 4:57 pm Yes located manual 250 pages worth. I got that error because of testing my port engine when I turn on Cruise sometimes do not get tone from unit. Already cleaned every contact and it’s improved but not perfect yet. Next I will check switch on my breaker panel. Thanks

April 22, 2021 at 5:46 pm Yes, they are quick disconnect fittings, AKA “Compu-Check” adapters.. They were installed by the factory for the ease of testing certain things and it was cheaper for the factory to leave them there than to pull them, or they forget.. Choose the answer that to want……………………………Think of the typical QD on and air compressor hose… ………………

    • Location on 480CE engine for Aetna teeth counter sender

August 17, 2020 at 6:07 pm Trying to find location for mounting Aetna Teeth counter sender for their Tachs on a Cummins 480CE engine. I saw two electrical hook ups on left side of bell housing. They are already being used by other components although I do not know for what. Maybe the analog tachs are using one for the present tachs which I am removing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. A photo would be great. Doug

October 8, 2020 at 6:29 pm I put three hours on engines since I wired tachs and no problems so far. Sensor on left does go to smart craft and although not accurate it also works fine.

    • 1/8 Tap in exhaust elbow won’t allow probe insertion

January 27, 2020 at 5:19 pm I have a Luhrs 2002 with Cummins 480CE engines. I purchased EGT gauges/probes from Tony but when I removed plugs there is metal blocking the probes from being screwed in. Is it OK to drill a hole in metal inside elbow to allow probe to be screwed in. Refer to photos.

January 30, 2020 at 6:14 pm Thanks guys, I found the NPT fitting right where Tony said it would be. As soon as my son in law returns my torch I will be able to get the plug out and get the probe in. Thanks again. Doug.
