December 21, 2021 at 2:35 pm Crested a tool out of necessity to remove stubborn 6CTA aftercooler cores and to put the spring back in heat exchanger endcaps. Buy a 4ā pvc coupler. Itāll be a tad too big for the aftercooler housing. Use a circular saw or mitre saw or table saw and make one pass through it. Now when you squeeze it together itās the perfect diameter if you need to use force with a block of wood to drive the aftercooler core through until the ends clear the …

Leaking SMX pump

August 31, 2020 at 6:09 am I bought two new SMX pumps in late 2014 and installed them on my 450 Diamonds. The hard to get to port pump has started leaking. Pictures of good starboard pump and suspect port pump. Notice port pump has green all around water weep holes to drain water when water seal fails. Starboard pump is pristine there. 17 RepliesOctober 29, 2020 at 12:03 pm Humpty Dumpty is back together. First picture is the cleaned out housing ready for the new seal. Second picture is the new main seal installed. That went in easy pushing with gloved fingertips. Final picture is with the shaft seal and cap locked in place with the retaining clip. To push the clip in place I used a piece of 1ā pvc pipe. It was the right inside diameter to push the clip down until it snapped into its shaft groove.Last Post by:
