    • How much Boost

This topic has 1 reply, has 2 voices, and was last updated byTony Athens 3 years ago

September 16, 2020 at 2:12 pm Is there a spec’d amount of boost for a 330B at various RPM’s? Currently getting about 7# boost at 2250. Engine tops out at 2850. Runs good, runs efficiently, just wondering. Does load effect boost? Thanks, Jim

September 17, 2020 at 5:16 pm Boost is tied into engine by the engines load.. No load (neutral 2200, 2400, 2600, etc = NO BOOST).. 100% full load on you engine pushes 25-27 PSI when all is 100% up to spec & under “perfect conditions”… The condition of the engines aftercooler and turbo will also affect boost as a secondary part of the equation..

May 26, 2020 at 5:54 am 32 Holland put up for winter, ran perfectly. Launched over weekend and engine won’t go over 2100. Plenty of throttle left. Went to 3000 in fall. No prop change, no nothing changed. No smoke, runs smooth up to 2100. All filters new, no air restrictions. Ran with fuel from a can, ran without air cleaner. Have not adjusted aneroid yet, but not sure how much to turn star wheel for adjustment. Thinking maybe the shaft that operates diaphram …

July 13, 2020 at 12:14 pm Having to travel further and further these days and I’d like to be able to monitor my fuel usage. Engine is a single 330B. Maretron offers a system with a monitor and 2 sensors, one for supply, one for return. The sensors are available with 1/2 NPT or 3/4 NPT female input openings. Supply on the 330B is 5/8″ hose. The question is do I need to use the sensor with the 3/4 NPT and bush that down to 5/8 or is the 1/2 NPT sufficient? …

July 13, 2020 at 1:10 pm 1/2″ supply on the 330B is good and so is placing the sensor after the SMX DD but before the last chance.

November 1, 2018 at 11:52 am Looking for opinions on use of one 8D battery verses two 31 series batteries for one bank. Room and accessibility not an issue. Mainly interested in the house side. Thanks, Jim
