Yeah sorry I realise the pic was crap and will try and get some better ones , the exhaust is pretty simple what you can see there pretty much goes straight to the back and out no mufflers, but I will grab some more photos this weekend

Sh%t your scaring the crap out of me here , surely if the engine had been digesting salt water i would have seen some sign at the exhaust steam or such also on inspection the air heaters are clean and no sign of corrosion or salt

at a whopping 5’6 and 72kg it is a bit easier to move around in there (the only benifit of being a short ass, had to be one ) . I can sit next to the engines on both sides of them bugger all room in front of them and access above them if needed means pulling up more floor , good to know you can use the flexi hose and clamps for the low presure side . my parts came from seaboard yesterday great service faster than coming from eastern states sometimes I will wait now and hope this crazy crap going on figures it self out a bit our dollar comes back in line with USD as I have seen plenty of parts and kits I would like to buy but in current situation my missus would shoot me if she noticed it on credit card statement.

see what you mean now when you describe how tight the engines are to work on I thought mine were tight I will stop complaining about that now .

Thanks again Steve
I replaced the hoses between fuel cooler and water pump when I rebuilt the raw water pumps and I have had to replace a couple of hose clamps but until recently I didn’t know they had to be constant torque clamps but will be heading to hosemart in Wangara as suggested Monday to get them .
Thanks againMarch 9, 2020 at 3:35 pm #94572

I have one stupid question , how do you send a a PM at the risk of sounding a bit special I tried sending you one yesterday but it asks for a recipient to be listed which I did but still no joy . I have had my Carribean for comming up to two years i have always had trailer boats prior to this but have come to realise by the time I have everything engine wise up to a standard im happy with its time to start again .March 8, 2020 at 3:55 pm #94520

Hi Steve
Yes Mindarie has the best bloody seagull breeding program int he country I think and it turns out my boat is there favourite toilet. It sounds like my engines are running at similar temps I run at around 2300rpm most times heading out fishing or going to Rotto and I have the same gremlins in the wiring of the cummins gauges chasing low oil pressure in starboard gearbox that does not exist bought a manual transmission pressure gauge to check it and now know its the wiring earth probably .March 5, 2020 at 4:19 pm #94419

Yeah I read that and yeah spot on its on my wish list its our prime boating time here in West Oz at the moment and come mid winter plan on going right through the two engines (again) and will most likely order the alarm kit from you guys will be doing the aftercoolers also plus replacing alot of hoses and will try and combine it all to minimize the freight a bit.
Thanks againMarch 4, 2020 at 9:33 pm #94386

Hi Steve
I have a 2004 caribean 35 with two 330hp cummins in Mindarie Perth WA , also noted how great this site is for those of us who prefer to get there hands dirty .
Have you changed your thermostats to the 160deg ones yet as i have been toying with it also keen to know what it dropped your running temps to? I typicaly sit between 86 and 88deg and am a self confessed paranoid worrier looking at gauges constantly and checking with IR gun. -
