      May 8, 2023 at 6:06 pm Yesterday I ran out to the fishing grounds about an hours ride at 2200 rpm trolled 3 hrs and on the way home was running about 2000 rpm and my starboard engines egt jumped from 875 to about 1100 port side was running 875 I pulled back to 1200 rpm and port dropped to 450 and starboard to 850 both engines weā€™re pulling about 20 on the boost I run there for about ten minutes and the egt suddenly dropped to 450 on the starboard side I run back up to…

      May 21, 2023 at 10:48 am If not a gauge issue, then look extra carefully for the broken hose clamp/loose hoseĀ  on the orange hoses allowing a boost leak.Ā  Lose boost = all of a sudden will raise the EGT and or make dark smoke

      April 16, 2022 at 10:57 am How much will your voltage drop when you engage the starter ? I have 2 relatively new 31 east Penn gels in parallel and my voltage drops from 13.4 to around 9.7 is that normal ? I just installed some smx voltage gauges and that is the reading I get.Ā

Oh well, I will leave it as it may help someone else.   If one battery is failing the parallel connections will show a good average voltage high enough to make things look OK.Ā  Ā The meter will likely show a good average voltage.       December 5, 2020 at 11:21 am Getting ready to install the envirovents on my 6bta 370’s I am not at my boat and want to get the caps that go on the stock breather vent tubes so I can block them off, does anybody know the size and where to get caps for those? These are the ones that empty into the puke bottles. Thanks Chuck
