March 1, 2021 at 6:58 pm Need help, just purchased a tiara 35 Open with dual 370 6bta. Stb RPM gauge is dead some times and erratic other times. April 12, 2021 at 6:13 pm Tony, Same issue and engines, just port tach. Similar boat, Pursuit. Just replaced the alternator but it did not fix the tach. Would work after planning at 2000 to 2200 and be fine, than sometimes work at idle when hot. Sounds like time to replace the magnetic pickup? This looks like the link https://www.sbmar.com/articles/install-magnetic-pickup-drive-tachometer/ Thanks

Port trans oil pressure is 75 psi at idle / neutral, if accelerated the psi goes to 150, when shifting it goes from 75 to 150 and then to 225 when accelerated (runs good with no slipping). You can barely notice when shifting forward and feel nothing when shifting reverse, even though it does turn the prop in reverse. Stb tran idle…

December 9, 2019 at 6:39 pm Look at this graph and see if you are close to the spec.. Use an ACCURATE liquid filled 0-400 or 0-600 PSI gauge to really see where you are.. Until you do that we are all just guessing. Tony
