    Hi Tomy,

I bought a 2000 yr boat with tween cummins 6bta 370 & zf 800 v1 trans. Both engines have only 355hrs. Port trans oil pressure is 75 psi at idle / neutral, if accelerated the psi goes to 150, when shifting it goes from 75 to 150 and then to 225 when accelerated (runs good with no slipping). You can barely notice when shifting forward and feel nothing when shifting reverse, even though it does turn the prop in reverse.

Stb tran idles at 150 psi and 225 in gear, all normal and you feel the gears when shifting.

I did change the oil and filters on both trans.

Any tips on where to start, some people told me to leave like that as is operating.

    Thanks,

    Fernando

Look at this graph and see if you are close to the spec.. Use an ACCURATE liquid filled 0-400 or 0-600 PSI gauge to really see where you are..

Until you do that we are all just guessing.

So it’s been like this since you bought the boat, right?
Does hot vs. cold change the readings?
I’d put a mechanical gauge on the gear so you know what you are really getting and then go from there.
    Bes sure you’re not over-filling.
