Look for the ecm and find the lines. Dont have pictures, the code can be many other things.
. Good luck.

April 11, 2021 at 7:17 pm #113297Checked the oil capacity today and the marks are good.
I guess next step is to remove the exhaust piping and check the turbo. The turbos where done recently but maybe they where not refurbished right.
March 7, 2021 at 7:57 pm #111368Tony thanks for the reply, the synchronizer is working perfectly to my understanding. I hear both engine at similar RPM and the bad gauge does jump around where the rpm should be.
Im adding pics from today.
October 19, 2018 at 7:39 pm #38704We finally found the issue, the fuel line fitting for the ecm cooler was loosed enough to allow air into the fuel system, but never leaked.
Thanks all for the great help.
October 11, 2018 at 7:03 am #38331Yes, mine looks just like the one in the picture.
October 9, 2018 at 5:52 pm #38278Hi Tony,
Checked all supply and return lines, also the engine tubes and all is free of restrction. I have not done the external pump test yet, wile checking the tubes we tested for voltage on the electric pump plug and only got 9.1 volts, so we tested the othe engine and same 9V. Is this normal? ECM is getting 13.2.
Thanks a lot for your help!
October 3, 2018 at 6:31 pm #38061That was me tensting the gauge by sucking on it. I was able to move it all the way to 15”.
October 3, 2018 at 11:08 am #38023Tony- re -did test and same results. 2” max of vacuum. See attached pic, is odd that the port engine is drinking 1 additional gallon of fuel compared to stb.
October 2, 2018 at 1:43 pm #37963I Think I had an airleak on the fittings, will fix and retest.
Thanks,
Gauge seem fine
September 30, 2018 at 5:56 pm #37867Hi, did vacuum test and all seems fine. Pointer will never pass 2” in vacuum, same with vacuum gauge isntalled on racor. Can it be a return line issue?
September 24, 2018 at 6:26 pm #37680Thanks, will do and report back.
September 24, 2018 at 5:17 pm #37665There is no noticeable rpm pattern, most likelly at WOT, it some times activates when power is increased (ex 1,400rpm to 1,600 rpm), also when boat is riding in same direction as the wave and slows down due to the big wave in front, as soon as the engines start pushing harder it activates.
September 24, 2018 at 2:31 pm #37570Ok, installed the guage and here results.
Port Engine (issue engine)
Idle-13psi
Load 1,600 rpm -7psi
Load 2,050 rpm -5psi
Load 2,730 rpm -1psiStarboard Engine
Idle-11 psi
Load 1,600 rpm -8psi
Load 2,050 rpm -5psi
Load 2,800 rpm -3psiPlease let me know how you see them.
September 20, 2018 at 10:53 am #37416Will do and report back. thanks!!!
September 19, 2018 at 6:49 pm #37382Hi Corey thanks a lot for the help.
Please see responses:
Do you hear the lift pump turn on and run when you turn the key on to IGN? ——— YES———-Have you replaced the LIFT PUMP? ——- YES NEW——
Do you have any valves on the fuel RETURN circuit? —- YES , ONLY ONE AT THE FUEL TANK, FULLY OPEN—-
Are you getting AIR into the fuel system? —— DONT THINK SO, HOW CAN I CHECK AND CONFIRM THIS—-
September 18, 2018 at 6:39 pm #37329Steve, thanks for the help. The engine has very good power, the alarm only goes on at WOT and when accelerating to plane (once stable it goes away). Also, the engine is reaching 2,730 RPMs and the vacum gauge on the Racor is reading less than 5, so dont think there is a blockage issue.
What can it be?
