May 30, 2018 at 8:12 pm I have been chasing down a possible transmission temp problem. does anyone know what the temp specs are??? After running 1/2 hour port side runs 130 degrees f the starboard runs 165 degrees f. some thoughts are sice one side is counter rotation it will run hotter??? I have owned the boat since new 2005, Searay 390 dancer with cummins 370 qsb diesels. I have never noticed this. Presures at 2400 rpm are the same side to side 365 psi. When at 850 …

August 4, 2018 at 10:59 am I removed the exhaust elbow from the turbo, the outlet(shower head design) was partly clogged with rust scale. I had a new end for the elbow with larger holes made, now after 1 hr of run time at 2400 RPM it still climbs to 195 & rising. Afraid to let it run hotter. The engine temp has dropped from 185 to 175. So all the hoses, diesel fuel cooler, after cooler, trans cooler, engine heat exchanger & water outlet from the exhaust elbow have…

May 25, 2018 at 6:34 am I have a 2005 Searay 39 sundancer with ZF 80LV transmissions with cummins 370 qsb engines. On cold start up both temps 60 degrees, pressures both 350 – 375, I have a 15 minute ride out of channel pressure same temp 90 degrees. on first sea trial noticed starboard transmission temp raising to 160 degrees after crusing for 20 minutes & port side 110 degrees. Engine temp on both engines 177 degrees. When at clutch speed pressure drops t…

April 16, 2018 at 12:07 pm I own a 2005 searay 39 dancer with cummins 370’s. While under way with engine syncs on, (only using starboard throttle) lost port rpm, switched off syncs, used both trottles ok. Traced to broken wire in harness connector under starboard aftercooler. Engine syncs now work. When i start engines, smart craft says(must perform dielsel calibration). I tried to calibrate will not let me. If I turn start rocker switch on& off 1 time quickly, …

April 18, 2018 at 9:01 am Tell me EXACTLY which engines you have… if you’re not 100% sure, send me serial numbers. I would also like to see a picture of your SmartCraft display and the C-Cruise rocker panels so I can see exactly how you’re setup before moving too much further… Thanks, Corey

April 16, 2018 at 3:16 pm I own a 2005 Searay 39 Dancer with cummins 5.9 qsb’s. The starboard fuel cooler let go & racor water alarm goes off. I have owned the boat since new. 1st cooler let go in 2011 at 600 hours. Replaced cooler ran ok for 2 years (200 hrs) then let go again. I have replaced every 2 years since. All my zincs on starboard side( lower after cooler, trim tabs, water strainer pick ups for starboard engine, a/c all only last 3 months. The starboa…

April 17, 2018 at 4:21 am I was having trouble with exessive zinc consumption and had a galvanic survey performed. The system was entirely intact and we were puzzled. We then did a check of the power post on the dock. What we found is the power post was sending .005 volts back to the boat, causing all my issues. We installed a galvanic isolator and zinc consumption became consistent with my neighbors.
