    Hi All,
    what is the actions to take when welding on a boat with a electronic engine. My vessel is aluminum . Is it just drop the main earth wire off the battery’s or pull the ecu connectors? Or something more?

    Remove the cable to the battery ( both for the starter and the “always-on” for the ECM, and harnesses to the dash–Unplug the ECM if you really want to be safe…….

    When welding, keep the NEG welding cable near the work being performed.
