Good morning guys. I have a Sea Ray 420 Sundancer with 6CTA 8.3-M3. I hit a log and got some vibration in the port prop. Pulled the boat and took both props in for scanning and repair. Prior to the log my max rpm is 2,650. I cruise at 2,150 and gps says speed is 23.5 knots.

Props are 22×24…both were out and after scanning pitch calculated out at a little over 24. Now that they were both brought back to 24 my max rpm is still 2,650 and cruising at 2,150 I am down to 21.7knots… Before and after prop scans are attached if that helps

Question is does the engines have a limiter at 2,650rpm and should I tweak these props a bit for speed and or max rpm?

    Thanks

The guy that did the props? Good feedback from others?

What is your no-load WOT RPM? Ever checked both tachs in neutral at 2200-2300 RPM with a photo tach? That’s where I’d start………………………………Happen to have a boost gauge ? That’s really the only way to see how the engines are loading..
