CAT 3196 Raw water system maintenance

2 years ago August 1, 2021 at 10:14 am This off season will be my first time servicing the aftercoolers, heat exchangers, trans oil coolers and fuel coolers. Would anyone have any documentation and/or videos showing the removal and cleaning process of these components?

If its seawater side servicing section is anything like Cummins from those years, It’s 100% worthless This engine from CAT in those years had a multitude of issues, many directly related to the aftercoolers……………………With that said, think of it the same way we deal with a Cummins aftercooler– Good articles on this site. December 1, 2017 at 5:19 pm Hi guys, new member and first time poster here. First I want to say thank you for this awesome web site. Just purchased my first diesel boat, a very clean 2002 410 Sea Ray Express powered by twin Cummins 6CTA8.3-M3 450 Diamonds (Serial numbers 46177147 and 46176773, CPL 8089). Engines only have 750 hours on them but 15 years of marine age. Prior maintenance records were minimal when I got the boat so I am in the process of establishing new basel…

I will have to print some more $ and get the new elbows made. Would anyone have any recommendations on where to get this done on the east coast, Annapolis, MD?
