CAT 3196 Raw water system maintenance

This off season will be my first time servicing the aftercoolers, heat exchangers, trans oil coolers and fuel coolers. Would anyone have any documentation and/or videos showing the removal and cleaning process of these components?

This is all I have. If its seawater side servicing section is anything like Cummins from those years, It’s 100% worthless

This engine from CAT in those years had a multitude of issues, many directly related to the aftercoolers……………………With that said, think of it the same way we deal with a Cummins aftercooler– Good articles on this site.

Good luck in your “journey” going thru it…. I’d love to “see” inside..
