January 15, 2021 at 8:03 am You have ZF 302IVs using an EB 15 control valve Your issue does not sound gear related, but to be sure, remove the plug attached to the valve.. That is the only interface to the engine controls. You can then test shift into gear manually — https://www.sbmar.com/articles/zf-shift-solenoid/ My guess– The Volvo engine control head and /or some bad wires/connections in that area

January 3, 2021 at 7:39 pm Thanks Tony… you beat me to the punch.. I just got back from the boat. I did exactly that. After talking with the tech for a bit. he told me what he was doing to try and start the boat. Pretty sure he accidentally ran the sequence that messed up the TPS sensor. So I reset the system and and re calibrated the TPS and it worked. Hope it helps the next guy.. What was tough was there wasn’t any codes flashing on the system. Now while I …

July 22, 2019 at 7:08 pm An upcoming project that I will be dealing with is Shaft Seals. I currently have the PSS Shaft seals. They are going on 20 years old and are showing it. The rubber accordion boot has gotten stiff and now causes at higher RPM to throw water. And I’m talking by the gallon. Seems to get out of balance and shimmy’s. Anyhow it didn’t do that before. I believe after sitting up this winter they just got stiff and didn’t relax back. So I contac…

July 23, 2019 at 2:46 pm I run tides as well. There was an issue with on of mine prior to purchase so they cut the blue boot down about an inch to get to a True point in the shaft. No issues.

May 29, 2019 at 5:10 am Problem finally figured out. “ Guest Battery selector switch” After another day of tracing wires. Testing every fuse and relay it all came back to the first day. Starting when noticing a bad battery issue. When I started the battery switch was on “BOTH” it had been there since I got the boat last year. And when I started. When I started to isolate the battery issue I switched from 1 & 2 to figure out #2 battery was bad. I just assume…
