      April 24, 2024 at 12:35 pm Background: I’m considering removing the 12.5kW Westerbeke diesel genset from a boat that has a pair of Cummins 330B engines (2001 vintage). I want to replace the genset with a pair of Magnum Inverter/Chargers (stacked) and a roughly 48kW-Hour battery bank (LiFePO4).Ā  This will cover our requirements for 24-72 hours.       April 24, 2024 at 4:17 pm 1———–The alternator drive system on your 6BTA’s will not support driving an alternator output above about 60-70 AMP’s at 700 Idle RPM,Ā  or much above 180- 200 AMP at 1500 RPM.. ………..
