    • oil leak after raw water pump replacement

      October 16, 2019 at 12:41 pm Had an new SMX 1730 Seawater Pump installed on my starboard Cummins 6BTA-M3 about 6 weeks ago. When i hauled it last week, found out i had lost about one gallon of oil out of that engine, floating in the bilge. I’m not a mechanic….but was wondering if anyone who is could tell me if this install could possibly have led to the loss of oil into the bilge? Thanks.
