      April 23, 2019 at 6:46 am Hi there We have a pair of QSB 5.9 – 480’s in one of our boats, where the port engine is having some issues. Engines have done less than 500 hours, but hour counter on port engine is living its own life. Actual engine hours is approx 480, but SC1000 rev instrument is showing hours that vary uppwards and downwards from 280 hours. (i.e. running hours figure both increases and decreases…) Also, there are some synchronisation issue…

      April 26, 2019 at 8:17 am This is where you have to start………… If you look at all the wires & connections you have ( it’s a total maze with well over 200 potential connections , plugs etc etc) and every one needs to be unplugged, looked at for any dryness/ corrosion and then all sprayed with a petroleum based dielectric like WD-40, Corrosion X or ?? and then re-plugged it.. EVERY PLUG.. And push all wires into the plugs after plugging in.…
