June 12, 2020 at 9:06 pm My 2007 qsc8.3 490 w/smart craft oil pressure reading acts like a switch. It either reads zero when warm at idle or 69 psi above 1100 rpm. Sender is correct. I traced 3 wires to connector. ground is good. Voltage supply is good and reference varies as supposed to . So oil sensor and wiring doing what their supposed to up to the block. I really can’t arbitrarily change computer components to fix. Any known way to test? Manual oil gauge …

August 16, 2019 at 8:45 am Iā€™m having the same issue with my 2007 QSC 8.3. Low oil pressure alert code 415 indicating 0.0 PSI. Towed into Shearwater, BC, pressure manually checked good (70 PSI within 5 seconds of engine start). Having sender unit that Coreyā€™s post indicates flown in today from Vancouver but based on this post and another, Iā€™m not sure this will fix problems. Mechanic here does not think this is a wiring issue, nor the low coolant sensor leaking issue, but…

February 22, 2017 at 6:22 pm I would appreciate any help with this problem. IĀ have smart craft electronic controls.Ā  reverse does not initially always engage on port engine when control is put in reverse . If I shift from reverse back to Neutral a couple of times it works. Tried switching solenoids, no difference. If I turn manual override screw under solenoid cover always works.Ā Any tips would be helpful.

September 9, 2018 at 7:02 pm Thanks Tony. I do plan to take it apart to get to a final resolution. Giving it a whack was the short term fix when offshore or backing down a fairway to dock. Iā€™ll get a better picture of the configuration on the transmission.
