    • Oil Pressure Issue After Rebuild – Need Help

      August 19, 2023 at 4:09 pm I recently finished rebuilding a 6CTA and IĀ“m having trouble with the Oil Pressure. Any ideas are appreciated.<br /><br />The engine runs great. Cold start builds 60psi. After the engine is warm pressure drops to 40psi at 2200 RPM. After continued running at 2,200 the pressure drops further to 25 PSI.       August 20, 2023 at 11:33 am I’d be happy with 40 psi at cruise.Ā  However the pressure drops to 20-25 psi after about 10 minutes.Ā Ā

      January 1, 2017 at 2:46 pm Hello, I have a pair of 3208 375hp engines in a 37 Bertram (4,200 hours). Ā The issue is that the stb. engine is getting weak. It now only turns up to 2650. Both turned up to 2800 when I purchased the boat three years ago. Ā The pt. engine still turns up to almost 2800 (2750), probably not all the way because of the stb. motor not providing as much power.       January 1, 2017 at 5:05 pm Hunter, A few things to ponder.. Although you did not say for sure, I am guessing your Ā Bertram & engines are pre-1992Ā  & most likely older than that.. So we have a boat & pair of engine are 35 Yrs old?
