October 6, 2023 at 11:13 am Hello.Ā  I believe I have some mounts that are in need of replacement and just wanted to confirm the proper replacements.Ā  Based on the Seaboard Store it appears the mount I would use for my QSB 5.9’s are the 4931364 / 5301975.Ā  My motor physically has the 3349230, pictured.Ā  It looks like the SMX purple is a alternate replacement for the 3349230. Are the SMX purple or 3349230’s the way to go ?Ā  Should the motors have had the 4931364 …

November 5, 2022 at 6:52 pm I had the plastic pulley on the belt tensioner part ways after the bearing failed.Ā  I have since replaced the tensioner assembly but was wondering if the pulley can be obtained separately to have as a spare ?Ā  Thank you.

    • Correct performance curve and pyro gauge

This topic has 3 replies, has 3 voices, and was last updated bySteve Lewis 4 years ago

September 8, 2019 at 6:45 pm I wanted to confirm that I have the correct Performance Curve for my twin QSB 5.9’s, 425HP. Data Plate pictures attached. I believe the correct curve is M-93262. Also, is there any advantage to installing pyro gauges on these electronic motors ? I am still dialing in the props based on rpm/fuel flow. I wasn’t sure if the pyro gauges would assist in any way to monitor the performance or health of the motors. If so, what would the opt…

September 11, 2019 at 5:59 am Tony forgive my ignorance. I just looked up the the published warranty for both HO and non-HO ratings and they are both 24months but HO is 1000 hours and INT is 3000 hours. Does the QSB425INT engine cost more than the QSB425HO rated engine? If they have the same HP and fuel burn numbers but different warranty periods, I am guessing the extra liability for Cummins is offset by a higher initial cost?

    • QSB 5.9 425 MISFIRE

December 21, 2018 at 10:17 pm I have a question about a slight misfire/rough running 2012 QSB 5.9 425 HP, 1300 Hours. Data Plate info attached. I have noticed that the fuel flow and boost was slightly higher on the PORT motor during cruise. After reading through the forums, it seemed as though it was negligible but listening and smelling over the transom you could hear a slight miss and smell stronger diesel exhaust odor on that side. No noticeable smoke. After hauling, …

January 6, 2019 at 6:40 am Thanks Tony ! I’m here to listen. This forum is great and you and your team are a wealth of knowledge. Appreciate the feedback on the props and totally understand I’m working two issues unrelated to each other. I’ll provide feedback when I get a tech with a computer to check out the injectors to diagnose the mis. Thanks again………….Rob

February 6, 2018 at 8:43 pm New to the Seaboard forums. Lots of info I have read so far. Great help !
