ZF Pressure/Temperature Senders

Greetings,

I was pleased to find this topic regarding temp/pressure tap locations on the ZF ATF trans.

ZF “ATF” Transmission Pressure and Temperature Sender or Switch Locations (ZF 45/63/68/80/85)

I think I’ve identified the pressure sender and adapter fitting for it. I can’t find the same information for the temperature sender.

Questions:

1. what adapter and sender for temperature. I’d like to have analog sender, not just switch. I don’t need it to be compatible with any particular gauge as I’ll be connecting to NMEA gateway.
2. Is the depicted method of mounting the pressure sender not susceptible to fatigue failure due to engine vibration?

Scott,

My transmissions currently have only a temperature switch. I’d like to install a resistive sender in that location and add a pressure switch or sender. I know the port threads but am looking for PN recommendation sor sender/switch device.

I purchased an Albacombi converter but haven’t started setting it up yet.

some thoughts

My response is based is based exclusively on my set up:  Cummins QSB 5.9 380 with electronic shift ZF 85IV

I have been working on a different problem-getting stb gear pressure to display on my diesel view 1.0.  I have made my share of mistakes but for iding pressure and temp senders I would offer:  Pressure sender is 3 wires, temp sender is 2 wires.  For me all senders are analog. Hope that helps a little.
