My boat has a Twin Disk transmission 5050SC connected to a Cummins 6BTA 5.9 370HP engine.
The instruments harness has wires for a transmission pressure and temperature senders but the senders were never installed.

Does anyone know what temperature and pressure sensors should be installed and where they are connected to the transmission? The information will be connected to a NEMA2000 analog to digital converter for display on a multifunction display.

I contacted Twin Disk about this and never got a response.

    Twin Disc 5050SC

    Walter,

You will not like the answer I am going to offer you.. I have nothing in my data base to refer to on that Twin Disc Model.. As to Twin Disc support–What you have found out is why I try and stay away.. Very poor support overall…

    I wish I had a better answer..

Just took a chance with GOOGLE.. I found this bulletin…. This is a Gear that will have full Gear pressure on the oil line going to & from gear cooler.. Just “T” in for both pressure & temp.. Temp on the out line from the pump–pressure on the return.
