Starter takes two tries

I installed a reman 6bta370 this spring along with a new gauge panel. I am having an issue with the starter button. Sometimes, when I press the starter button nothing happens. It has always started on the second attempt though. I have checked for any loose wires but everything seems tight. So far this is an intermittent problem.

Tim, try to “jump” the mag switch and bypass the key circuit to see if its something past the mag switch / starter… if it starts every time without issue, then you have an issue somewhere external to that such as the key/button… something is loose or corroded…

PS – The two small terminals on the mag switch is where 12V from the keyswitch comes… check for good voltage there as well when someone is “cranking”…
