    Hello –

Installing the Double Double on a 6CTA 8.3.

Two items I want to be sure I have correct:

    (1) Second filter has a washer on the threads – assume that is because that fine filter requires an extra 1/4 turn?
    (2) What is the best procedure for priming – is it necessary to fill the filters with clean fuel or can you tighten the filters and use the bulb primer to fill the filters / prime the engines?

Thanks in advance – I searched and didn’t see this clarified on the youtube or the forums.

    Steve

    Spud Gasket

The spud gasket is included with the filters that are rated at 10mic or less.

A few years back I wanted to know a little more and emailed Cummins Filtration a very simple specific question as to logic behind the spud gasket for some, not all. The answer I got made no sense whatsoever…

-Yes a washer on the FS1000

The bulb–Before of after the filters?–If before it does not matter but you can leave them cracked to fill ( usually easier that way) .. If after, the filters need to be tight/leak free
