QSX15 SN#79355445 Land Based Jones Hay Grinder. Extremely Dusty Conditions.560 gallons fuel capacity.22 Gallons per hour fuel usage. Cummins Parts Online shows fuel filter #FS1041 which is the current filter I run. 25 Micron seems like a big hole. I am concerned. Cummins Quickserve shows filter #’s  FS1007 10 Microns or Fs1040 25 Micron. I do not have WIF usage. My thoughts are I would like to upgrade to some sort of multi filter system. Thoughts and suggestions?

Here is photo of my version of  multi filter that Tony helped me with years ago on my feedtruck CM2250 ISC. Still works excellent and never lost pump or injector or Gelled fuel at -50 below F.

Well, you obviously have a lot more faith in one filter than me.. I’d put a 12 pack that in the installation instructions,  that someone or ??,  was supposed to install some type of primary “before engine” filtration.. I think “someone” did not follow proper requitements..   I’d hurry if it was me..

    ONE Fuel Filter

Correct. ONE  factory supplied engine mounted fuel filter. No other filters between tank and engine.

You only have ONE total fuel filter between the fuel tank and the engines fuel injection system ?? It’s mounted on the engine as the factory supplied / factory fuel filter ?  The spec shows it is a high-end modern fuel fuel filter, but yes, a modern system needing only 25 mic as a final fuel filter is “odd”..  Maybe the fuel system is very “robust?  ????   I do not have any direct experience with that engine.  I’ll do some peeking and see what I can find.  But if you are burning 22GPH, then you must be flowing about double that.. Most any of our systems would handle that –Just use 5/8” ID lines for all..
