Intake manifold heater 330Hp Cummins 2003

Can anyone give me info on being able to disconnect this as it is stopping on and drawing approximately 115amps from the alternator at idle which only cuts out for about 5 seconds then it keeps coming back on.

This is causing my alternator to get quiet hot.

Our Temp in this part of the world is quiet warm I have been told that it is not really required in this part of the world due to the warmer climate.

 

If possible Information on the best way to disconnect it.
